The Book

The Sixteenth Child of Seventeen Children

I am rewriting it from my own point of view, taking each sibling's picture out, and I am planning a sequel as well.

In the year 2000, I wrote a book about my life called The Sixteenth Child of Seventeen Children. I put it away because the timing was wrong: there were family concerns and big emotions, and I was not ready. I am ready now.

I am rewriting it in my own words, from my own point of view, and I am planning a sequel that carries the story from the day I was sent out of my home at graduation through the loss of two husbands to cancer, and into the chapters I am still writing today. It is a story of survival, humor, and not giving up.
